Description
In the subacute and chronic stages of eczema, the Blood and Yin-fluids become consumed by the pathological processes. In addition, the affected skin becomes thicker and darker, indicating localised Blood stasis. Thus the important treatment strategies for this stage include nourishing the Blood and Yin-fluids and activating the Blood to dispel stasis, in addition to continuing with the treatment principles for the acute stage i.e. clear Heat Toxin, clear Damp-Heat and dispel Wind from the skin. It is important to note that the formula is suitable for eczema with clinical features of a chronic presentation, i.e. reduced itching, scattered vesicles and papules, thickening and darkening of the skin.
It is not important how long the patient has been affected by this disorder, as there may be an acute presentation (i.e. severe itching, localized redness and multiple papules and vesicles) even after several months.

6 - 10 capsules twice daily.
In severe cases, and in the early stages of treatment (first 2 - 3 weeks) the dosage may be increased by 100%.
Course of treatment: 3 - 9 months
Safe to use long term.
Avoid coffee, deep fried foods, hot spices, and ‘hydrogenated’ fats.
Caution for those on anti-coagulant medications (i.e. Heparin, warfarin or aspirin).
Contains Glycyrrhiza, which potentiates prednisone and corticosteroids by prolonging steroid biological half-life; caution in patients with hypertension.
