Prescribing Information:
There is insufficient reliable information available about the safety of broccoli sprout extract, grape seed, rosemary and bupleurum during pregnancy; avoid using.
Molybdenum is generally well tolerated, although it can form complexes with copper, decreasing the absorption of both minerals a beneficial effect in patients with copper excess. Copper deficiency due to molybdenum intake is unlikely however, although individuals with low copper intake or dysfunction of copper metabolism may be at increased risk.
Patients with elevated uric acid levels or gout should limit molybdenum to 75mcg per day.
Saikosaponins from bupleurum may inhibit platelet aggregation. Theoretically, bupleurum may increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
Saikosaponins from bupleurum may increase blood glucose levels. Theoretically, bupleurum may interfere with blood glucose control when used concomitantly with diabetes drugs.
Bupleurum may stimulate immune function and interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
There is preliminary evidence that rosemary may inhibit platelet aggregation. Theoretically, rosemary may increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro evidence shows that grape seed may inhibit platelet aggregation. Theoretically, grape seed may increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs, although this has not been reported in humans.
In vivo research suggests broccoli may induce cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) and 2A6 (CYP2A6) activity, theoretically increasing the metabolism of, and reducing the levels of drugs metabolised by these enzymes.
