ChinaMed Uro Clear Formula 78c

Description

This is a variant on the classic formula Ba Zheng San (Dianthus Combination) from the ‘Formulary of the Tai Ping Welfare Dispensary Bureau’ (tai ping hui min he ji ju fang), 1151 CE. The original formula has been enhanced with additional herbs that clear Damp-Heat from the Bladder in order to potentiate its action in the treatment of acute urinary tract infections.

This formula is suitable for acute infections of the urinary tract. 

In patients with recurrent urinary tract infections, this should be followed by a course of DEFENCE PLUS Formula (CM192) taken in combination with this formula for 1 - 2 months.

 

Each capsule contains:

Clematis armandii stem equiv. to dry 120.6mg Tetrapanax papyrifera stem equiv. to dry 120.6mg Dianthus superbus (Dianthus Fringed Pink) herb equiv. to dry 180mg Plantago asiatica seed equiv. to dry 180mg Polygonum aviculare herb equiv. to dry 180mg Gardenia jasminoides fruit (Cape Jasmine) equiv. to dry 180mg Andrographis paniculata (Green Chiretta, Kariyat) herb equiv. to dry 180mg Phellodendron amurense /chinense stem bark equiv. to dry 180mg Lygodium japonicum spore equiv. to dry 180mg Juncus effusus stem pith equiv. to dry 59.4mg Glycyrrhiza uralensis (Licorice) root equiv. to dry 59.4mg

3 capsules twice daily

• Avoid hot spices, deep-fried food.
• Caution with patients on: diuretics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), cardiotonic glycosides, antiarrhythmic drugs, laxatives.
• Contains Glycyrrhiza, which potentiates prednisone and corticosteroids by prolonging steroid biological half-life; caution in patients with hypertension.
