Description

Ingredients in Ultra Flora GI Regulate have been clinically shown to or may:
  • Support healthy bowel function.
  • Reduce constipation and irritable bowel syndrom (IBS) symptoms via modulation of small instestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), methane levels, short chain fatty acids (ie. butyrate), intestinal barrier integrity and inflammation.
  • Low reactive, FODMAP free, powdered prebiotic and probiotic food for sensitive patients.

Clinical benefits:
  • Lactobacillus plantarum (299v) has been shown to reduce a range of IBS symptoms.
  • PHGG is a selective prebiotic, used as a fuel by butyrate producing bacteria.
  • PHGG has been found to reduce symptoms of chronic constipation as well as decrease symptoms of IBS.
  • PHGG is fermented by the large intestinal commensal bacteria, increasing SCFA production particularly butyrate, as well as assisting colonic blood flow and epithelial repair.
  • PHGG influences gut motility, secretions and vagal modulation of contraction, and has been shown to reduce methane levels.
  • PHGG has shown other benefits, including reduced methane excretion, improved effectiveness of antibiotic SIBO treatment (when used with PHGG) and improvements in chronic constipation.
  • Probiotics can help modulate visceral hypersensitivity to reduce abdominal pain and improve patient comfort.
  • Lactobacillus plantarum (299v) and PHGG have been shown to reduce abdominal pain, which can be a key symptom driving patients to seek health advice.
  • Lactobacillus plantarum (299v) has shown to exert a modulatory effect on the inflammatory response of epithelium, helping to improve gastrointestinal comfort and health.
