Description
Orthoplex Manuka Zinc+ Lozenge provides traditional herbal relief from the symptoms of sore throat, mild tonsillitis, dry unproductive cough, and reduction of the severity of symptoms of mild upper respiratory tract infections. It has been formulated specifically with zinc gluconate to easily dissociate in saliva, dispersing zinc ions throughout the upper respiratory mucosa for a localised effect. Carefully developed without zinc-binding excipients such as mannitol, each lozenge contains Manuka honey and essential oils, along with Marsh-mallow, a demulcent herb traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to help soothe respiratory tract and irritated tissues.Each lozenge contains:Honey (Manuka) 250mg
Lemon Oil 25mg
Lemongrass Oil 5mg
Zinc gluconate 97.66mg equiv. zinc 12.5mg
Althaea officinalis root dry ext. 125mg from Althaea officinalis root dry 500mg
Manufacturing excipients: Colloidal anhydrous silica, dextrates, pregelatinised rice starch, silicon dioxide, stearic acid, Stevia rebaudiana, thaumatin.
Incidental excipients: Maltodextrin (tapioca).
Children's Dose:
5-8 years: 1 lozenge daily.
9-13 years: 1 lozenge twice daily.
14-18 years: 1 lozenge three times daily.
Adult Dose:
1 lozenge four times daily or as recommended by your registered healthcare practitioner. Do not swallow but allow to dissolve slowly in the mouth for up to 10 minutes or until dissolved. Take 1 lozenge every 2 hours up to the recommended dosage.Warnings:
Contains zinc which may be dangerous if taken inlarge amounts or for a long period. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional. Mineral and nutritional supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Not to be used in children under 2 years of age without medical advice. Not suitable for infants under the age of twelve months. Contains sugars and sulfites.
